Semiconductor solar cells

Laboratory "Semiconductor Solar Cells" (LPSE) is engaged in fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of photoelectric phenomena in semiconductors and the development of manufacturing solar cells (SE) technology for direct and concentrated solar radiation, based on: GaAs and Si, since 1975.

Up to now, the technology of making GaAs, based solar cells has been developed, with an efficiency of up to 22% with a solar radiation concentration of 1-100 AM 1.5 and Si, with an efficiency of up to 18%. A technology of manufacturing photovoltaic batteries of 2-150 W has been developed and receives applications for the manufacture of photovoltaic systems. Photovoltaic systems are equipped with electronic control and monitoring units, developed in the laboratory (storage systems, inverters and controllers.) The following devices and installations for use in scientific and industrial purposes have been designed and manufactured in LSE.

Solar charger for charging cell phones, laptops and communication equipment with a capacity of 2 -50 watts.
Photoelectric system for lighting streets and squares of cities and villages, as well as objects.
Photoelectric system for lifting water from wells with depths up to 100 meters.
Phototyte-converting systems with the power of 50-150 W, which allow obtaining simultaneously both electric energy and hot water up to 20 liters per hour, with a temperature of up to 60 degrees.
Photoelectric power supply system for greenhouses.
Autonomous multifunctional mobile photovoltaic system of emergency power supply in force-majeure situations.
At present, the laboratory conducts research on the development of photovoltaic cells, batteries and installations for effective operation in the hot climate of the Central Asian republics.

On the basis of the Physicotechnical Institute, there is an experimental line for the production of silicon photoelectric batteries. The entire technology of creating photovoltaic batteries is based on the development of the FTI, taking into account the adaptation to the conditions of the regions of the republic (temperature, dustiness). The products are produced both in the form of photovoltaic cells, and in the form of photovoltaic installations of various capacities (2- 10,000 W), equipped with inverters, batteries, etc. To minimize prices, the design and manufacture of photovoltaic installations is carried out, taking into account specific technical requirements put forward by the Customer.
